Tom Sachs’ Crumpled Nikes


Tom Sachs is a visual artist famous for sculptures that deconstruct and fuss around with all kinds of iconic objects, like McDonald’s and handguns. Nike’s now given him license to twist up their classic sneakers and the result is a subtle fuzzing of the shoes’ normally sharp edges, making a shoe that looks schlumpy, crumpled like a piece of paper and colored in with colored pencils.
